oh HI

guess it's time to take a break from the riproaring exciting life of a college coed and give you the 4-1-1. AM I RITE?

of course i am!

so here are some thins that have been happening:

one. my phone is shit. working in its mysterious cellular telephone way, it decided i've done something wrong and in return i've earned ZERO CELL PHONE BARS EVERYWHERE IN THE ENTIRE WORLD. or at least my room, which is where i spend 99.99999% of my time. the enlightening experience of contacting tech support made me realize perhaps t-mobile is not for me, taking into account its utter shittiness, so yesterday i bought a plan with verizon. also a pink phone that i probably shouldn't have spent so much money on. but it is nearly my birthday. so suck it.

two. field trip to newbury street this weekend. made some shady adult BUT PERFECTLY LEGAL purchases. hint: purple penis shaped waterproof vibrator. okay, also there is a story behind this.

as a college student, i value free food. so when there is a SAFER SEX JEOPARDY WORKSHOP (the fourth annual, apparently) offering thai dinner, i am so there. as long as i don't actually have to participate in jeopardy. but by the time i've refilled my plate a couple times [or rather, tricked my friends into refilling my plate], it is too late to back out and it seems everyone will have to participate in jeopardy. so somehow, who knows, my friends and i are on the winning team. i guess we know all there is to know about HPV & ecstasy & polyurethane [among other things]. and we end up receiving ten bucks to condomworld each.

so what else am i going to get! a blow up sheep? case closed.

three. classes this semester seem to be going a-okay. and my schedule has worked out pretty smoothly also. linguistics will, i think, be the easiest college level class i've taken in my entire life. a sample question from the first problem set: SEPARATE KINDNESS INTO ITS ROOT AND AFFIX. kind -ness? kill me now.

statistics is on the opposite end of the spectrum of difficulty, but still won't be too bad i think. i've a ton of reading for my psychology of race and gender class, but i'm really excited for the class discussions. although class was cancelled last thursday for no apparent reason. and the class only meets once a week, so that is kind of a big deal.

brain lab will not be too bad in terms of grading, but it is kind of ridiculously SCARY. my lab partner cut open the scalp of a live, anesthetized rat last week. and drilled a hole through its skull. and then we stuck electrodes in. the entire time i am obsessively checking the rat's breathing rate to make sure it doesn't die/wake up with a HOLE IN ITS HEAD. ahhhhhhhhhh. nervewracking.

but even worse, i have to do the cutting/drilling part tomorrow. i am just hoping not to faint. also not to kill our rat.

four. this one's for allison berry. i miss you like colin jackson misses nepa. fjsaljfhdklsahflas. i just tried to type rainbows and wrote rianbows. WHAT AM I DOING WITH MY LIFE. anyway. rainbows. flowers. young love. etc. etc. ps: come visit asap.

five. it snowed a little. lots of ice for skating on in killian court. shoe-skating on. egg + tyler + chronopobopolopolous + me = fun.

six. watched transamerica after having it sit on my desk for ten million years. then they introduced a transexual character on ugly betty, my new addiction. ask me anything about transexuals in pop culture. i'm an expert.
