an update in honor of the first day of classes

[it's over. i had linguistics 9:30-11]

yesterday was rian's birthday. i baked a cake [dark chocolate fudge with funfetti frosting]. and made a card by cutting letters out of magazines [it does not look a ransom note, fuck you clicky]. and wandered around the galleria with fallon lugging her brand new macbook after me, trying to find a present.

this morning one of my contacts fell out just in time for linguistics lecture. that was a pleasure.

our projector is fabulous. we've been watching a lot of movies/tv shows/youtube videos/stalking people's four foot high facebook profiles. it's wonderf.
