Boston weather
is seriously the most ridiculous phenomenon evar. It was snowing two days ago, right? This afternoon, I napped outside in the sun for two hours. Wearing a t-shirt [okay, and arm warmers, but they were totally just for stylishness]. What the fuck? But it's exciting. You never know what the next morning will bring!
Saw someone dressed as an ipod [playing "Thriller"] today. And I swear there was someone in my chem lecture dressed as Tingle. As in, Legend of Zelda. Giant red balloon and all.
And apparently someone at the party Saturday night was dressed as the Gay Pimp, but I totally didn't get to see him. Tear!

Weird buckets.
When adults told me that college was the best four years of their lives, I felt kind of sad for them. But I totally get it now.
Went to Beta last night for Shock Yo Momma! Heard Ryan the Hawaiian's band play. Then dance party, what what.
Except Justen dressed up as me. With a pink t-shirt and a short pink skirt. And I hate him.
After I had a little too much rum to live up to my reputation as highly graceful dancer, we peaced out to 41w.
Where we chilled. And ate chili and watched Family Guy and made pudding!
There are good kids at 41w. Heart.
Sometimes they let you sleep in their soft beds while they're sleeping on sketchy couches in the lounge. That's real friendship.

Coming up with Halloween costume ideas is hard. x.x
I hate creativity with a deadline.
Actually, deadlines in general pretty much suck.

Dear world:
I love Allison Molloy Berry. She makes me laugh until I cry.
After delayed airplane departure and broken baggage belt and driving around sketchy parts of Philly, I got to hang out with AB Friday night. Cha-ching!
She sums the fabulosity of it up pretty well here, but since you're probably too lazy to click on external links, I'll quote the best parts.
"whatever, man. whatever" = kate's new stoner philosophy on life.
"i've only made out with like .. 3 guys since i've been there...that's a pretty good rate, i'd say"
"kate..that'd be slutty at MY school...and we are pretty much infested with STDs"
Saturday was the wedding, which was precious. I hate priestly bullshit in any context, but I managed to politely sit through it for Jane's sake. Different strokes for different folks, etc. And the reception was fab, because I love to dance. Even with old people. ^.~
My mommy bought the penultimate ASoUE for me, so I started reading it on the plane. :D And my brother can still beat me at Super Smash Bros. Mêlée, even though I've been practicing with a CITY WIDE CHAMPION. Dang!
And now I'm back in C'bridge. Word up.

My hair looks fierce today!
The guy I was sitting next to in my chem recitation said so. And that he likes to think it reflects my mood.
Unfortunately, I feel more sleepy than fierce. But I'm working on it.
Rawr!

How did she get into MIT again?
So after my freshman advising seminar, I use the bathroom. But I don't notice the urinals until I've finished washing my hands. And then I'm like shit, y0.
Sure enough, when I check outside, there's a "MEN" sign.
Oops.
We'll just pretend it was a political statement about gender-specific bathrooms. Because that's an issue I feel strongly about, of course.
And I'm not completely oblivious.

I wish college wouldn't constantly make me sick
The throat is hurting and the voice is gone.
WTF is wrong with my immune system?
It's not that hard. Fight germs. Win.
That's pretty much all there is to it.
But no. I'm almeda's immune system. Wah wah wah. These germs are so big and tough.
Wah wah wah, I don't know what to do. Maybe I could let them destroy her life.

Want to know a pleasant surprise?
84.5/100! On my physics exam! Fuck yeah!
Have I mentioned I'm on pass/no record? 84.5 is like trying too hard, gosh.
Except for calc, in which I score 96s and 97s on my exams.
In other news, want to know something special about my friends and I?
We bring the party.
Although it helps if other people provide the alcohol/hookah/location/music.
And Tyler Hutchison [with no n: don't get confused!] is officially my favourite person evar. He is practically perfect in every way, à la Mary Poppins.
Finally, things I really need to do:

Sleep is not looking big in my future tonight.
Is teh weekend here yet?

Oh, college.
Always new excitement!
EDIT: Here's something that's really good: yoga.
Being stretched out. And getting a work out. And relaxing so deeply.
Heck yeah!

[censored for offensive/slutty nature of content]
Edit: Okay, I admit it. I make out with boys. Who may or may not have previously had girlfriends. Shit happens. Moving on.

OMG ELEPHANTS!!!!111onetwothree
First, I will say that I do not approve of keeping animals in captivity to perform for obnoxious little kids.
But second, a line of elephants walking down Mass. Ave is badfuckingass. One was even holding the tail of the elephant in front of it. ADORABLE! It was like straight out of the Jungle Book. Best part of my entire day. Not even lying.
And here are a couple of Hannah's pictures from teh wknd. Oh, yes, aren't we FOXY?

Do you know what is fabulous?
My roommate is reading Cunt.
It's one of the few books I brought to college because, well, you know how I feel about it.
And I didn't even force it on her, either, which is the magical part. It was kind of just lying around and the cover is rather eye-catching, so next thing I know, she is reading it whenever she has any free time.
And since this is college, that's fairly often.
It's absolutely charming. :D I'm so excited. I feel like a freaking inadvertent cunt missionary or something.

"He's gay . . . and asleep."
Ms. Hannah took Boston/Cambridge by storm this weekend, geeking it up all day at the Wizard World comic con and partying all night at my hip college!student social activities.
Friday was a very formal evening of wine and cheese. I hadn't brought any dresses from home, so I dragged Meara along to the Garment District to buy two dresses, pastel pink fishnets, and cowboy boots. I ended up deciding my fuchsia prostitute boots are more formal than cowboy boots, but should an cowboy boot-requiring emergency ever arise, I'll so be prepared.
If the whole MIT thing doesn't work out, I'm considering a career as a cheeseballs model. What do you think?

And here's me being overwhelmed by a laugh riot as I pwn everyone in foosball.

A final picture that sums up the evening is perhaps too explicit to post here for fear of retinal damage to innocent, unsuspecting eyes. But if you'd like to see our suitemate Brian in all his glory, here's the place to do it. I'm responsible for the left one. ;D [And he started the evening so well-dressed, too. Insert clicking of tongue, shaking of head, etc.]
Nate— Hannah, my mom, and I agree: your MIT double.
On Saturday we went to our old standby, ΖΨ, for d&d [drinks and dancing, of course]. Followed it up with some ass [pizza], and then off we bopped to 41W for an underwear dance party, where our wildest desires were legitimized [A. Brinser, 10/02/05 2:11:46 PM].
Some v. good songs were played & some v. cute chests were bared.
When threats of the CP's arrival loomed [having fun is prohibited?], we gathered our clothes and made our way back to Bexley Hall for some chill time in 106b. I witnessed perhaps the most hilarious imitation of Lauren evar & Keekz showed off his astounding ignorance of US geography. No, Delaware is not in the midwest. <3
On Sunday afternoon, I had the most delicious dinner hosted by the housemasters. Oh-em-gee. I wish I had the menu to share with you. Or maybe just the chef, because he certainly could tell you about each dish in great detail. Squash with sage and garlic, sweet potato ravioli with maple sauce, slow roasted carrots and endives, salad with pear and just— mmmm. Food.
After dinner I went to check out Bexley's dodgeball match. I missed the beginning because of athletic center bureaucracy, but what I did get to see was pretty exciting. The entire dorm was put on the roster, which is kind of sexy. Though not as sexy as the spandex some players were wearing. And then toward the end, all three teams that were there [some frat, and a floor in another dorm] got on the court, and I was peer pressured into participating by Brian.
Except dodgeball is so not my thing. No upper body strength = can't throw ball at speed of light = people catch the ball when I throw it. So I can't do anything except stand there until I get hit and get out or attempt to throw balls and get out. Definitely prefer spectating. But it was fun. Getting out and chanting things at the other team is so my thing.
And that was pretty much my weekend.
