seven to eight hours in the car yesterday.
nora threw up three times.

now i am staying in a cabin. where there is no cell phone service to be found.

fortunately there is electricity and those sort of things.

also there is a pool which is very nice because i haven't been swimming in a trillion years.

my brother and i invented a game called "let's race to each other," which involves tagging the other person before they tag you and shouting, "I WAN!"

also there were lots of dead laddybags in the pool.

also my brother has started calling me babby kat.

because nora was like COLIN YOU HAVE SO MANY NICKNAMES. c monster, blah blah blah. and colin was like, no, kate has more.

and i was like, yeah. kate, kat, katty kins, babby kat.

and i guess he liked it.

also my brother managed to misplace the present i picked out for myself that he bought. the present he picked out for himself that i bought was wrapped and under the tree christmas morning.

you should have listened

i saw dreamgirls today. allison berry and i laughed inappropriately. my mom lost her cellphone & got a parking ticket. i ate sushi and soup and ice cream.

yesterday was christmas. colin broke the headphones i bought at the airport [yes i am dumb] to replace the ones i or someone broke by sitting on them. i blame the couch by the window. i think it needs a name. maybe saggy.

anyway they are not really broken because they still work. but they are broken.

yesterday i saw some dogs and some basketball and some quiches and some jewelry.

the day before was christmas eve. here is a fun fact: i am still at the kids table. here is another fun fact: kids are annoying.

on thursday we leave for ohio to see my uncle get married. we will be back new year's eve. and then in a week i will go back to mitty.

my life is all planned out for me.

i hope my mom will redye my hair.

and think about

1200 miles.

and

19 hours.

and they are kind of frustrating thoughts.

2 weeks is another one.

i could never be in a long-distance relationship.

i am finfinfinished.

:D:D:D

and that boy i like left yesterday morning.

and i want to go home. and i want my grades to be posted. and i want an a in animal behavior.

and i want to sleep. and i want new socks because all mine are getting holes.

and i want to bake brownies with allison berry. and see my family. and friends.

and i want to read books for pleasure. and watch lots of netflix.

and have someone else cook me dinner.

i take bio finals and they make me go like this:

but i am pretty sure i will pass the class, and that is all right with me.

now to do last-minute studying for 9.01 which is in three hours and worth 45% of my grade.

sweet grand.

classes ended wednesday. i had relaxing relaxing fun time since then.

biology and neuroscience finals are on tuesday. ick.

animal behavior final is on thursday. easy.

meara got me a delicious brain in a clear plastic head for xmas. you can take it apart and look at it.

i found this picture on the internet [apparently you can find these on ebay along with a lot of other pharmaceutical giveaways], so don't think i set up a cloth backdrop to take a picture of my brain.

just going to write a post about secret feelins so you can read it while you're high and get upset i never tell you anything.

so here is a secret feeling i have:

I FEEL REALLY GREAT.

everything is just quite nice right now. yes, it is getting a little cold. yes, sudden temperature drop of like twenty degrees. but i have my tencoat and it keeps me warm.

even though someone workworkworks all weekend long, i remain in good spirits.

i work on a CRYPTIC CROSSWORD. i eat some spaghetti. i go shopping with roommate and buy dress and shoes. i go to christmas party. i go to birthday party. i party party. i write some pages about japanese macaques and their lesbian sex. i watch some veronica mars, season two.

i turn in my paper. i eat some free tunisian food in support of aids/hiv. well, not in support of the disease/virus, but you understand. i read some of dugan's feminist detective fiction starring kate fansler [her name?]. i sleep. i go to class.

someone is finally finished his project. i finally see him for more than two seconds. i eat some free course 9 food. i go to recitation. HERE I AM.

feelin swell. and lauren is sweet talkin me.

school is almost over.
