System overload... abort, abort!

I feel like I have so much to do and way too little time to do it. Which is a shame, because it's fucking SUMMER. But you know.

On Saturday I went to a local MIT frosh picnic. And of about 15 students who attended, 3 were male. And no, there weren't any aliens or robots or "it"s in attendance. The rest were female. Does that make sense to anyone? So much for stereotypes, MIT.

Actually, my class should be about 50/50. Which is fab, I guess, in terms of progress and equality and all that. But which still does not equal 3/15 boys. The mind is boggled.

Not much else is going on in my life besides work. Some creative pursuits in the "making blog for friend" and "sewing design on skirt" veins.

I want a 1GB 200-pin SODIMM DDR PC2100 memory upgrade for my iBook real bad. And as soon as I get my next cheque, I'm going to buy one. And a colour LCD iPod. And probably an HP all-in-one. But I'm not nearly as eager for that.

And wherrrrre are our yearbooks? Not that I'm dying to see my chunderiffic picture or anything, but I like getting mail. And I kind of want to insert my insert before I lose it. If I haven't already. Lost it, I mean. Which is a definite possibility.

I thought that the motto for MIT girls about MIT boys was "the odds are good, but the goods are odd." Actually, that was about CMU, but it applies for all tech schools as far as I know, though apparently not MIT anymore. Pity for you that neither the goods nor the odds are good! Tear.

You know, from my experience at CPW & similar, I think for the most part, the "goods" aren't "odd," but mostly normal, and sometimes even hot. There definitely are those stereotypical MIT students, but 9 times out of 10, people are just the same as you might find at any college. Well, maybe with better test scores.

And besides, it's Boston. I could get a sensitive rocker boyfriend from Berklee or a Harvard hottie. . . the possibilities are endless!

can't wait to keep up with your life via this through college, mwahaha

maybe the girls are more interested in making friends etc & are thus more likely to bother going to a meetup? :)

ha my little freshman send off bbq thing was SO cute. prob. like 15-20 students (josh lev. was there) and a pretty even balance between guys and dolls. No gay boys though, that was kind of a disappointment.

I hope the first thing you do once you get to MIT is make an MIT layout.

...

-_-;

I think I've already lost my insert... Don't worry, I'll find it again, next year... Around the annual end-of-high-school time.
